The Rolex Everose Gold Day-Date 40 carries reference 228235. The Day-Date was launched in 1956 as the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full, and it is made only in gold and platinum. Its 40mm case is crafted in 18k Everose gold. Everose is a pink gold alloy patented by Rolex that keeps its warm colour for years.
The Sundust baguette-cut diamond dial is finished in Sundust, Rolex's soft pink-copper tone, and has baguette-cut diamond hour markers. Around the dial sits a fluted 18k Everose gold bezel. The watch is fitted with the President bracelet with semi-circular three-piece links and a concealed Crownclasp.
Inside is the Rolex manufacture caliber 3255, a self-winding movement with a power reserve of about 70 hours. It is certified as a Superlative Chronometer, Rolex's standard of accuracy within −2/+2 seconds per day once cased. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
