The Rolex Daytona 40 Steel (Ref. 126500LN) is the current generation of Rolex's legendary chronograph, introduced in 2023. Its 40mm Oystersteel case pairs with a black monobloc Cerachrom ceramic bezel engraved with a tachymetric scale, used to measure average speeds up to 400 units per hour. The ceramic is scratch-resistant and keeps its color for years of everyday wear.
The white "Panda" dial features black counters for the 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph totalizers and running seconds, giving the watch its famous high-contrast look. Applied index hour markers and hands use Chromalight luminescence for clear reading in low light. The watch comes on a three-link Oyster bracelet in Oystersteel with a folding Oysterlock safety clasp and the Easylink 5mm comfort extension.
Inside is the Rolex manufacture caliber 4131, a self-winding chronograph movement with an approximately 72-hour power reserve, Chronergy escapement and Superlative Chronometer certification. The screw-down pushers, Triplock winding crown and sapphire crystal keep the Daytona water resistant to 100 meters.
