The Rolex White Gold Day-Date 36 (Ref. 128349RBR) is part of the Day-Date line. The Day-Date was launched in 1956 as the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full, and it is made only in gold and platinum. This reference has a 36mm case in 18k white gold. 18k white gold looks like steel at first glance but is noticeably heavier on the wrist.
The white mother-of-pearl diamond dial is cut from natural mother-of-pearl, so every dial has its own pattern, and has diamond hour markers. Around the dial sits a bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds. It is worn on the President bracelet with semi-circular three-piece links and a concealed Crownclasp, set with diamonds.
The movement is the in-house Rolex caliber 3255, which runs for about 70 hours once fully wound. It is certified as a Superlative Chronometer, Rolex's standard of accuracy within −2/+2 seconds per day once cased. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
