The Rolex Steel and Platinum Yacht-Master 40 (Ref. 126622) is part of the Yacht-Master line. The Yacht-Master is Rolex's nautical watch, with a bidirectional rotatable 60-minute bezel. This reference has a 40mm case in Oystersteel and 950 platinum. This steel-and-gold combination is what Rolex calls Rolesor, a signature of the brand since 1933.
On the front, the dark rhodium dial sets the tone for the whole watch. Around the dial sits a bidirectional rotatable bezel with raised numerals. The case is paired with the three-piece-link Oyster bracelet.
Inside is the Rolex manufacture caliber 3235, a self-winding movement with a power reserve of about 70 hours. It is certified as a Superlative Chronometer, Rolex's standard of accuracy within −2/+2 seconds per day once cased. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
