The Rolex Steel Daytona 40 carries reference 116520. The Daytona has been Rolex's racing chronograph since 1963, built to time laps and measure average speed with its tachymetric scale. Its 40mm case is crafted in Oystersteel. Oystersteel is Rolex's own corrosion-resistant steel, used on all of its steel watches.
On the front, the white Panda dial sets the tone for the whole watch. Around the dial sits a steel bezel engraved with a tachymetric scale. It is worn on the three-piece-link Oyster bracelet.
Inside is the Rolex manufacture caliber 4130, a self-winding movement with a power reserve of about 72 hours. The movement is a COSC-certified chronometer, known for its reliability. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
