The Rolex White Gold Day-Date 36 carries reference 118389. The Day-Date was launched in 1956 as the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full, and it is made only in gold and platinum. Its 36mm case is crafted in 18k white gold. White gold gives the watch a quiet, steel-like look with the weight of precious metal.
The meteorite diamond dial is cut from a real iron meteorite, so no two dials look the same, and has diamond hour markers. The dial is surrounded by a bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds. The watch is fitted with the President bracelet with semi-circular three-piece links and a concealed Crownclasp.
Inside is the Rolex manufacture caliber 3155, a self-winding movement with a power reserve of about 48 hours. It is an officially certified chronometer, tested by COSC for accuracy. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
