Reference 279160 is the Rolex Steel Lady-Datejust 28. The Lady-Datejust is the classic ladies' Datejust, with the date at 3 o'clock magnified under the Cyclops lens. The 28mm case is made of Oystersteel. Oystersteel resists corrosion and keeps its polish even with daily wear.
Its pink Roman dial uses Roman numerals. Around the dial sits a polished domed bezel. The watch is fitted with the five-piece-link Jubilee bracelet.
Inside is the Rolex manufacture caliber 2236, a self-winding movement with a power reserve of about 55 hours. Every movement of this generation is tested as a Superlative Chronometer, accurate to within −2/+2 seconds a day. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters. The Oyster case itself goes back to 1926, when Rolex introduced the first waterproof wristwatch case.
