Reference 279383RBR is the Rolex Steel and Yellow Gold Lady-Datejust 28. The Lady-Datejust is the classic ladies' Datejust, with the date at 3 o'clock magnified under the Cyclops lens. The 28mm case is made of Oystersteel and 18k yellow gold. Rolex has combined steel and gold this way since 1933 and calls it Rolesor.
Its white mother-of-pearl diamond dial is cut from natural mother-of-pearl, so every dial has its own pattern, and has diamond hour markers. The dial is surrounded by a bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds. It is worn on the three-piece-link Oyster bracelet.
Inside is the Rolex manufacture caliber 2236, a self-winding movement with a power reserve of about 55 hours. Every movement of this generation is tested as a Superlative Chronometer, accurate to within −2/+2 seconds a day. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
