The Rolex Steel and Yellow Gold Datejust 36 (Ref. 126233) is part of the Datejust line. The Datejust introduced the self-winding wristwatch with a date window in 1945, and the date sits under the Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock. This reference has a 36mm case in Oystersteel and 18k yellow gold. Rolex has combined steel and gold this way since 1933 and calls it Rolesor.
Its mother-of-pearl diamond dial is cut from natural mother-of-pearl, so every dial has its own pattern, and has diamond hour markers. The dial is surrounded by a fluted 18k yellow gold bezel. It is worn on the five-piece-link Jubilee bracelet.
