Reference 278274 is the Rolex Steel and White Gold Datejust 31. The Datejust introduced the self-winding wristwatch with a date window in 1945, and the date sits under the Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock. The 31mm case is made of Oystersteel and 18k white gold. This steel-and-gold combination is what Rolex calls Rolesor, a signature of the brand since 1933.
Its aubergine Roman diamond 6 dial has diamond hour markers, and uses Roman numerals. It is framed by a fluted 18k white gold bezel. It is worn on the five-piece-link Jubilee bracelet.
