The Datejust introduced the self-winding wristwatch with a date window in 1945, and the date sits under the Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock. The 31mm case is made of Oystersteel and 18k Everose gold. This steel-and-gold combination is what Rolex calls Rolesor, a signature of the brand since 1933.
On the front, the chocolate diamond Roman VI dial has diamond hour markers, and uses Roman numerals. The dial is surrounded by a fluted 18k Everose gold bezel. The watch is fitted with the five-piece-link Jubilee bracelet.
