Reference 128396TBR is the Rolex Platinum Day-Date 36. The Day-Date was launched in 1956 as the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full, and it is made only in gold and platinum. The 36mm case is made of 950 platinum. 950 platinum is heavier and rarer than gold, which is why Rolex uses it only for its top models.
Its silver index dial uses applied index hour markers. It is framed by a bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds. The watch is fitted with the President bracelet with semi-circular three-piece links and a concealed Crownclasp.
It is powered by the self-winding Rolex caliber 3255, with roughly 70 hours of power reserve. It is certified as a Superlative Chronometer, Rolex's standard of accuracy within −2/+2 seconds per day once cased. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
