This Rolex Everose Gold Datejust 31, reference 178245, is a member of the Datejust family. The Datejust introduced the self-winding wristwatch with a date window in 1945, and the date sits under the Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock. It has a 31mm case in 18k Everose gold. Everose is a pink gold alloy patented by Rolex that keeps its warm colour for years.
On the front, the mother-of-pearl diamond Roman VI dial is cut from natural mother-of-pearl, so every dial has its own pattern, and has diamond hour markers. It also uses Roman numerals. It is framed by a polished domed bezel. The watch is fitted with the President bracelet with semi-circular three-piece links and a concealed Crownclasp.
The movement is the in-house Rolex caliber 2235, which runs for about 48 hours once fully wound. It is an officially certified chronometer, tested by COSC for accuracy. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
