The Day-Date was launched in 1956 as the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full, and it is made only in gold and platinum. The 36mm case is made of 18k Everose gold. Everose is a pink gold alloy patented by Rolex that keeps its warm colour for years.
The white Roman dial uses Roman numerals. The dial is surrounded by a fluted 18k Everose gold bezel. It is worn on a brown leather strap.
