The Rolex Everose Gold Day-Date 36 (Ref. 128235) is part of the Day-Date line. The Day-Date was launched in 1956 as the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full, and it is made only in gold and platinum. This reference has a 36mm case in 18k Everose gold. Everose is a pink gold alloy patented by Rolex that keeps its warm colour for years.
On the front, the Eisenkiesel diamond index Roman 9 dial is made from eisenkiesel, a red quartz stone, and has diamond hour markers. It also uses Roman numerals and uses applied index hour markers. The dial is surrounded by a fluted 18k Everose gold bezel. The case is paired with the President bracelet with semi-circular three-piece links and a concealed Crownclasp, set with diamonds.
The movement is the in-house Rolex caliber 3255, which runs for about 70 hours once fully wound. Every movement of this generation is tested as a Superlative Chronometer, accurate to within −2/+2 seconds a day. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
