This Rolex Everose Gold Daytona 40, reference 116515LN, is a member of the Cosmograph Daytona family. The Daytona has been Rolex's racing chronograph since 1963, built to time laps and measure average speed with its tachymetric scale. It has a 40mm case in 18k Everose gold. Everose is Rolex's own pink gold alloy, made in its foundry so the colour does not fade over time.
The meteorite and black index dial is cut from a real iron meteorite, so no two dials look the same, and uses applied index hour markers. The dial is surrounded by a black Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert. The case is paired with the black Oysterflex bracelet, made of flexible metal blades coated in high-performance elastomer.
It is powered by the self-winding Rolex caliber 4130, with roughly 72 hours of power reserve. It is an officially certified chronometer, tested by COSC for accuracy. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
