Reference 116505 is the Rolex Everose Gold Daytona 40. The Daytona has been Rolex's racing chronograph since 1963, built to time laps and measure average speed with its tachymetric scale. The 40mm case is made of 18k Everose gold. Everose is a pink gold alloy patented by Rolex that keeps its warm colour for years.
The meteorite and black dial is cut from a real iron meteorite, so no two dials look the same. The dial is surrounded by an Everose gold bezel engraved with a tachymetric scale. The case is paired with the three-piece-link Oyster bracelet.
It is powered by the self-winding Rolex caliber 4130, with roughly 72 hours of power reserve. It is an officially certified chronometer, tested by COSC for accuracy. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
