The Rolex Yellow Gold Day-Date 36 carries reference 128238. The Day-Date was launched in 1956 as the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full, and it is made only in gold and platinum. Its 36mm case is crafted in 18k yellow gold. The gold is cast in Rolex's own foundry, which controls its colour and quality.
On the front, the white dial sets the tone for the whole watch. Around the dial sits a fluted 18k yellow gold bezel. It is worn on the President bracelet with semi-circular three-piece links and a concealed Crownclasp.
