The Rolex Yellow Gold Day-Date 36 (Ref. 128398TBR) is part of the Day-Date line. The Day-Date was launched in 1956 as the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full, and it is made only in gold and platinum. This reference has a 36mm case in 18k yellow gold. The gold is cast in Rolex's own foundry, which controls its colour and quality.
On the front, the green ombré diamond dial has a graduated ombré finish that darkens toward the edge, and has diamond hour markers. The dial is surrounded by a bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds. The case is paired with the President bracelet with semi-circular three-piece links and a concealed Crownclasp.
Inside is the Rolex manufacture caliber 3255, a self-winding movement with a power reserve of about 70 hours. It is certified as a Superlative Chronometer, Rolex's standard of accuracy within −2/+2 seconds per day once cased. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
