The Rolex Steel Daytona 40 (Ref. 116520) is part of the Cosmograph Daytona line. The Daytona has been Rolex's racing chronograph since 1963, built to time laps and measure average speed with its tachymetric scale. This reference has a 40mm case in Oystersteel. Oystersteel is Rolex's own corrosion-resistant steel, used on all of its steel watches.
The black dial sets the tone for the whole watch. Around the dial sits a steel bezel engraved with a tachymetric scale. The watch is fitted with the three-piece-link Oyster bracelet.
