The Rolex Daytona "Giraffe" 40 Everose Gold (Ref. 126555TBR) is part of the Cosmograph Daytona line. The Daytona has been Rolex's racing chronograph since 1963, built to time laps and measure average speed with its tachymetric scale. This reference has a 40mm case in 18k Everose gold. Everose is a pink gold alloy patented by Rolex that keeps its warm colour for years. Among collectors it goes by the nickname "Giraffe".
The chestnut brown dial sets the tone for the whole watch. Around the dial sits a bezel set with baguette-cut diamonds. It is worn on the brown Oysterflex bracelet, made of flexible metal blades coated in high-performance elastomer.
The movement is the in-house Rolex caliber 4131, which runs for about 72 hours once fully wound. Every movement of this generation is tested as a Superlative Chronometer, accurate to within −2/+2 seconds a day. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
