Reference 126201 is the Rolex Datejust Steel and Everose Gold 36. The Datejust introduced the self-winding wristwatch with a date window in 1945, and the date sits under the Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock. The 36mm case is made of Oystersteel and 18k Everose gold. Rolex has combined steel and gold this way since 1933 and calls it Rolesor.
The white mother-of-pearl diamond dial is cut from natural mother-of-pearl, so every dial has its own pattern, and has diamond hour markers. The dial is surrounded by a polished domed bezel. The watch is fitted with the five-piece-link Jubilee bracelet.
The movement is the in-house Rolex caliber 3235, which runs for about 70 hours once fully wound. Every movement of this generation is tested as a Superlative Chronometer, accurate to within −2/+2 seconds a day. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
