The Rolex Daytona "Rainbow" 40 Everose Gold carries reference 116595RBOW. The Daytona has been Rolex's racing chronograph since 1963, built to time laps and measure average speed with its tachymetric scale. Its 40mm case is crafted in 18k Everose gold. Everose is Rolex's own pink gold alloy, made in its foundry so the colour does not fade over time. Among collectors it goes by the nickname "Rainbow".
The diamond pave dial is paved with diamonds. Around the dial sits a gem-set bezel (rainbow sapphire) and diamond-set lugs. The watch is fitted with the three-piece-link Oyster bracelet.
The movement is the in-house Rolex caliber 4130, which runs for about 72 hours once fully wound. It is an officially certified chronometer, tested by COSC for accuracy. The screw-down crown and sapphire crystal keep it water resistant to 100 meters.
